LG Orders Reshuffle in J&K Police; Several IPS, JKPS Officers Transferred – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday ordered a major reshuffle in the police department, transferring and posting several IPS and JKPS officers with immediate effect.

According to a Government Order, Abdul Ghani Mir, IPS (AGMUT:1994), awaiting orders of posting, has been appointed as Commandant General, Home Guards, Civil Defence, SDRF, J&K, relieving Alok Kumar, IPS of additional charge of the post.

Mohd. Yaseen Kichloo, IPS (AGMUT:2013), has been transferred from SSP CICE Jammu and posted as Principal STC Talwara, replacing Mohd. Arif Rishu. Shobhit Saxena, IPS (AGMUT:2015), SSP Kathua, has been posted as SSP Security, J&K against an available vacancy.

Tanushree, IPS (AGMUT:2017), SP SIA HQ, has been posted as SSP Pulwama vice P.D. Nitya, IPS. Sahil Sarangal, IPS (AGMUT:2017), SSP Kulgam, has been posted as SSP Handwara vice Mushtaq Ahmad, while Mohita Sharma, IPS (AGMUT:2017), AIG Provisions, will now serve as SSP Kathua, replacing Shobhit Saxena.

Similarly, Anayat Ali Choudhary, IPS (AGMUT:2017), SSP Shopian, has been transferred and posted as SSP Kulgam vice Sahil Sarangal.

The order also includes transfers of several JKPS officers. Mohd. Arif Rishu (JKPS:1999) has been posted as Director CTC Lethpora, while Benam Tosh (JKPS:1999), SSP EOW Jammu, will now serve as Deputy Director SKPA Udhampur vice Ramnish Gupta (JKPS:2004), who has been posted as SSP CICE Jammu.

Harmeet Singh Mehta (JKPS:2001), SSP Bandipora, has been appointed Commandant 13 IR, while Javid Iqbal (JKPS:2001), Commandant 6 JKAP, will now serve as AIG CT & Intelligence, replacing Aijaz Ahmed Zargar (JKPS:2004), who has been posted as SSP Bandipora.

Mohd. Fiesel Qureshi (JKPS:2002), Staff Officer to IGP Crime, will now serve as SSP EOW Jammu vice Mr. Benam Tosh. Mushtaq Ahmad (JKPS:2004), SSP Handwara, has been posted as SSP Shopian, replacing Anayat Ali Choudhary, IPS.

Among other postings, Ashiq Hussain Tak (JKPS:2008) has been posted as Dy. CO 6 IR; Owaise Rashid (JKPS:2012) as Addl. SP Ganderbal; Sarfaraz Bashir Ganai (JKPS:2012) as Dy. CO 11 IR; Gh. Mustafa Bhat (JKPS:2012) as Dy. CO 17 IR; Shahzada Kabir Mattoo (JKPS:2012) as Dy. CO 9 JKAP; and Ashish Gupta (JKPS:2012) as Dy. CO 5 IR, all against available vacancies.
