Labourer Dies After Falling from Poplar Tree in Ganderbal  | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A 40-year-old labourer died after falling from a poplar tree in Ari Goripora area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday, officials said.

The deceased was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Khaliq Mir, a resident of Ari Goripora Kangan.

Officials said the man was reportedly working when he accidentally fell from a poplar tree, sustaining critical injuries.

He died on the spot due to the severity of the injuries, they said.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings have been initiated. [KNT]
