Kupwara: In a sustained effort to maintain peace, public order, and security in the district, Kupwara Police conducted a series of coordinated raids at the residences of individuals reportedly associated with banned organisations, including Hurriyat and Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI).
According to police officials, the operations were carried out as part of preventive measures aimed at ensuring that no anti-national or unlawful activities are permitted to take place in the area. The raids were conducted simultaneously at multiple locations, with strict adherence to maintaining law and order and avoiding any disruption to public tranquility.
Officials underscored that the action was purely preventive in nature, designed to enhance public safety and reassure citizens of the administration’s commitment to preserving peace and stability in the district.
The police have urged the general public to cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies and to remain alert to any suspicious activities that could endanger communal harmony or disturb the prevailing peace.
Reaffirming its commitment to act firmly yet fairly against elements attempting to create unrest, Kupwara Police called upon residents to work collectively towards strengthening communal harmony, mutual trust, and overall security across the district.
