KPDCL Schedules Power Shutdown in Srinagar, Other Districts | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Srinagar, Pulwama and Anantnag districts during March to carry out maintenance works on the electricity network.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of the 33 KV Bemina I and II lines will affect power supply to Police Colony, Qamarabad, Usmanabad, Iqbalabad, Qamarwari Market, Medical Hostel, PDD Complex, SK Colony, Hamza Colony, Sir Syed Abad and adjoining areas from 8:00 am to 12 noon on March 10, 14 and 28, 2026.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 KV Kanipora–Pinjoora line will disrupt electricity supply to Town, Arhama, Pinjoora, Klora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Pahnoo, Shirmal and nearby areas from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on March 12, 15, 23 and 25, 2026.

Meanwhile, the shutdown of the 33 KV Achabal–Cherpora tapline will impact power supply to Achabal, Shangus, Nowgam, Cherpora and adjoining areas from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on March 11 and 14, 2026.

KPDCL has advised residents in the affected areas to plan accordingly during the scheduled shutdown periods.
