
SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of south Kashmir will be suspended from 08:00 am to 2:00 pm on February 24 and 26, 2026 due to scheduled maintenance works, officials said.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited, the shutdown will affect the 33 KV Achabal–Cherpora tap line and the 33 KV Harnag–Khanabal tap line.
As a result, electricity supply to Shangus, Nowgam, and Cherpora, along with the 33/0.433 KV receiving station and the 1.0 MVA DC Residence, will remain affected during the shutdown period.
Officials said the interruption is necessary to carry out essential works on the transmission infrastructure and have advised consumers to make appropriate arrangements.
The department has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
