
SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of south Kashmir will remain affected on January 20, 2026, due to scheduled shutdowns of 33 KV transmission lines, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said on Monday.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, a shutdown of the 33 KV Salia Tap line will be observed from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, affecting electricity supply to Salia, Hapatnard, Nagbal and adjoining areas.
Similarly, the 33 KV Sangam–1st line will also remain under shutdown during the same period, resulting in power disruption in Marhama, Kelan, Khiram, Sangam and nearby localities.
The shutdowns are being carried out to facilitate maintenance works on the transmission network, officials said, advising consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance.
