SRINAGAR: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Budgam and Bandipora districts due to maintenance and development works on various 33 KV lines.
According to the Chief Engineer, KPDCL, power supply from the 33 KV Ahmadpora–Beerwah line to Beerwah, Khag, Arizal, and adjoining areas including Sonpah, Najan Khag, and Zanigam will remain affected on July 7 from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The shutdown is required for yard clearing and installation of 11 Isolator D.O. sets for the Auxiliary Transformer.
Similarly, in connection with the construction of the 33 KV Sukhnag–Arizal Tap Line Phase-II, power supply from the Ahmadpora–Beerwah–Arizal Tap line to Arizal, Zanigam, Raiyar, Doodhpathri, and nearby areas will remain affected on July 9 from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Further, due to branch cutting, stabilisation works, and completion of balance works for Dam Toe, power supply from the 33 KV Potushai–Gurez line to Dawar, Wanpora, Tragbal, NHPC, and adjoining areas will remain affected on July 10 and 11 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
KPDCL has urged consumers in the affected areas to cooperate during the scheduled maintenance.
