KPDCL Announces Shutdown Schedule for Maintenance Works

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of shutdowns to facilitate tree cutting, preventive maintenance, and infrastructure stabilisation works across several areas of the Valley.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, shutdown of the 33KV Wanpoh-Sarnal line will be observed on September 30, from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm, to facilitate tree cutting at Harnag village. As a result, 33/11KV receiving stations at Harnag, Nai Basti, Sarnal, Anchidora, and Akhura will remain off, affecting power supply to Dak Bungalow, Harnag, Khanabal, Sarnal, Anchidora, Nai Basti, and adjoining areas.

Similarly, to incorporate the Loop In Loop Out (LILO) arrangement of 33/11KV, 2×6.3 MVA receiving station Hiller Bahi, shutdown of the 33KV Lisser-Hiller line will be observed on October 7, from 10:00 am to 03:00 pm. Power supply to Aarkhoshipora, Hiller Bahi, Shankerpora, and adjoining areas will remain affected.

For preventive maintenance and branch cutting, shutdown of the 33KV Pampore-Lethpora line will take place on October 4, from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm. Receiving stations at Konibal, Lethpora, LIS Lethpora, Khyber Milk, and Stone Crusher BPCL Bottling Plant will remain off, affecting power supply to Samboora, Lethpora, Patalbagh, Chandhara, Konibal, Dusoo, and adjoining areas.

On October 1, from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm, shutdown of the 33KV Pampore-Khrew line will be observed. Receiving stations at Khrew-I, Khrew-II, Shar Shali, and Auxiliary TLMD IV will remain off, disrupting supply to Khrew, Bathan, PHE/Hospital, Shar-A, Shar-B, Wahab Sahab, and adjoining areas.

Additionally, for stabilisation works involving the replacement of rotten wooden poles with new 11-metre ST poles at Andergam Palhalan, shutdown of the 33KV Pattan-Amargarh line will be observed on September 29, from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm. Power supply to Palhalan, Tantraypora, MES, Hyderbeigh, Hamray, Wanigam, Lolipora, Tapper, Railway Hamray, Cold Store, Bulgam, Arco Mill, and adjoining areas will remain affected.
