
SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several districts of the Valley between November 11 and November 25, 2025, to facilitate maintenance and repair works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), KPDCL, the planned outages will affect various areas in Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Pulwama, Kulgam, Bandipora and Anantnag.
On November 11, power supply will remain affected from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. in Brein, Tulip Garden, Pahloo, Vivanta, Dal Bund and adjoining areas due to shutdown of the 33 KV Cheshmashahi–Brein and Cheshmashahi–Shalimar lines. Similarly, power supply to Kurhama, Baroosa, Yangpora, Kondbal and adjoining villages will be disrupted from 10.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. due to a shutdown of the 33 KV Dab Tapline.
The 33 KV Grid Station Kulgam will remain under shutdown from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on November 15 and November 16, affecting wide areas including Kulgam, Yaripora, Behibagh, Nillow, Rambhama, D.H. Pora, Devsar and nearby villages.
Similarly, power supply in Handwara, Chogul, Kulangam and Sagipora will remain off from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. on November 12 due to maintenance of the 33 KV Handwara–Hotline.
Other scheduled shutdowns include Bandipora, Nowpora, Tral, Gagangeer, Lar–Tulmulla and adjoining areas on various dates between November 12 and November 25.
KPDCL has advised consumers to bear with the inconvenience and assured that the shutdowns are necessary to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply in the coming months.
