
SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across multiple districts in November 2025 to facilitate essential maintenance on 33 KV lines, officials said on Friday.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), KPDCL, power supply on the 33 KV LJHP–Uri line will remain suspended on November 12 and 15, affecting the Noorkhah, Mohara, Bandi, and Salamabad receiving stations. As a result, areas including Noorkhah, Bandi, Mohara, Chandwari, Uri Town, Salamabad, Razarwani, and adjoining localities will face power outages from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Similarly, a shutdown on the 33 KV Awantipora–Sangam 2nd line is scheduled for November 9 and 12, impacting the K-koot, LIS Tral-I, II, III, and Panzgam receiving stations. Power supply to LIS Tral, Hariparigam, Saimoh, K-koot, Chursoo, Rathsun, Gulzarpora, Chakoora, Panzgam, Railway, and nearby areas will be affected between 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
In addition, the 33 KV Kanipora–Pinjoora line will undergo maintenance shutdown on November 8, 11 and 15, affecting the Pinjoora, Arhama, and Chowdrigund receiving stations. Consequently, Pinjoora, Phanoo, Trenz, Mohanpora, Imamsahib, Kilora, Arhama, Zawoora, Shirmal, Chowdrigund, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Saidpora, Bemnipora, Town Bangam, and adjoining areas will experience power interruptions from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Furthermore, the 33 KV Kulgam–Devsar line will remain shut on November 8, resulting in outages at Ashmuji, Chambgund, and Kilam receiving stations. Power supply to Devsar, Pahloo, Sopat, Akhal, Hablish, Kilam, and neighbouring areas will remain affected between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Similarly, the 33 KV Kangan–Surfraw line will be shut down on November 9, impacting Surfraw and Gangangeer receiving stations. Areas including Gund, Gadribal, Kullan, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw, Ganiwan, and nearby villages will face power disruption from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Additionally, the 33 KV Khiram Tap line will be under shutdown on November 11, 14 and 15, affecting the Khiram receiving station. Power supply to Khiram, Mahind, and adjoining localities will remain suspended from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the KPDCL official said.
