
SRINAGAR: The Jammu Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced planned shutdowns of key 33 KV lines, which will affect power supply to several areas in the coming days.
A shutdown of the 33 KV Bemina–Fateh Kadal line on November 20, 2025 will keep the Fateh katal and Khayam receiving stations offline. Residents of Bishember Nagar, Babademb, Gousia Hospital, Bohri Kadal, Nowpora, K.K. Mohalla, Barbarshah, and adjoining areas will experience power interruptions from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM, according to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL.
Similarly, the 33 KV Sharifabad–Wadwan line will be shut down on November 26, 2025, affecting the Shariefabad, Wadwan, and Soibugh receiving stations. Power to Sharifabad, Durbal, Soibugh, Bonpora, Astanpora, Wadwan, Cheki Hathran, Hanjikpora, Dharmuna, Russu, Gotpora, Pymus, and nearby areas will be suspended from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM.
Additionally, the 33 KV Pampore–Wagoora line will be taken offline on November 19, 2025, leaving Pahroo (pertaining to STD-2nd), Kadlabal, HPCL Gas Plant, and the Auxiliary Wagoora Grid without power. Supply to Kadlabal, GT Pampore, Pahroo, and surrounding areas will be affected between 09:30 AM and 03:30 PM.
KPDCL has advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance.
