KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown in Srinagar, Ganderbal

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in parts of Srinagar and Ganderbal districts on November 6, 2025, to facilitate necessary maintenance works.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 KV Cheshmashahi Brein–Nishat and 33 KV Cheshmashahi–Shalimar lines will remain shut, resulting in outages at Brein Nishat and Dalbund receiving stations. Consequently, power supply to Brein, Tulip Garden, Brein Phallo, Taj Vivanta, BSNL Exchange, Nishat, Foreshore Road, Pathan Bagh and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Similarly, the 33 KV Badampora–Lar Tulmulla line will also be under shutdown during the same hours, affecting Lar and Tulmulla receiving stations. Areas including Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Larsun and adjoining localities will experience power outages during this period.

KPDCL has advised residents of the affected areas to plan accordingly and bear with the inconvenience caused due to the maintenance work.
