Srinagar, Mar 09: Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) on Monday said that helpline numbers shared by Kashmir University’s examination wing for assistance of students in view of examination were “non-functional” and “irresponsive”. The association urged the varsity authorities to intervene and ensure the helpline will remain operational so that students can receive timely assistance during critical academic processes.
“The helpline numbers provided by the Examination Conduct Section of the University of Kashmir are non-functional. Students trying to reach the examination wing for urgent issues related to examination forms, eligibility, and fee receipts are unable to get any response,” JKSA in a statement said.
It said that these numbers are officially shared to assist students, yet they remain unreachable when students need them the most. During crucial academic periods, the lack of a working helpline leaves many students confused and stressed.
The Association highlighted that at important examination-related stages, students require quick guidance to resolve technical or academic concerns. When helpline numbers remain inactive, students are forced to visit offices physically, causing unnecessary inconvenience and delays.
They urged the Examination Wing of University of Kashmir to ensure that helpline numbers remain functional and responsive so that students can receive timely assistance during critical academic processes.
