Kashmir University Non Teaching Posts, Online Application Process Ends Tomorrow

The University of Kashmir, Hazratbal Srinagar, has released Advertisement Notice No. 05 of 2025 for the recruitment of Deputy Director in the Directorate of Physical Education & Sports and Deputy Librarian in Allama Iqbal Library. Eligible candidates are invited to submit their online applications through the university’s official portal. The online application process will conclude on 07 August 2025. The hard copy of the application form must be submitted by 12 August 2025.

As per the official notification, there are a total of 7 vacancies — 2 for Deputy Director and 5 for Deputy Librarian — with reservations as per S.O. 176 and S.O. 305. The posts are in Pay Level 12 (Rs. 79800-211500).

Applicants must meet specific educational qualifications and experience criteria for each post, including Ph.D., Master’s degree, and 8 years of relevant experience. A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1200/- is applicable, except for PwD candidates.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

i) For Deputy Librarian:
Master’s in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.
Eight years of experience as Assistant University/College Librarian.
Ph.D. in related fields and evidence of ICT-based innovative library services.

ii) For Deputy Director:
Option A:
Ph.D. in Physical Education/Sports or Sports Science.
At least 55% marks in Master’s degree (for non-university system candidates).
Eight years of experience as Assistant DPES.
Evidence of organizing competitions, coaching camps, and performance.
Must have passed physical fitness test.
OR
Option B:
Olympic/World Cup/World Championship medal winner with a postgraduate degree.
