SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Thursday informed that the Valley has sufficient stocks of essential fuels, with LPG available for around 15 days and an additional 18 days’ supply in transit. Petrol and diesel stocks currently stand at approximately 12 and 19 days, respectively, with further replenishments in the pipeline.

During a review meeting, it was highlighted that most LPG deliveries are being completed within five days of booking, with only 2,298 cases pending beyond 15 days across the Valley.

The meeting also noted that 2,253 grievance calls were received on helpline numbers, of which 2,228 have been resolved by district administrations.

To curb irregularities, enforcement drives have been intensified, with over 1,920 market inspections conducted across the Valley. These inspections led to the sealing of four petrol pumps and gas agencies and the registration of three FIRs for offences such as hoarding and black marketing.

Officials further reviewed the availability and distribution of food grains and fertilizers, confirming that the overall supply position remains stable and under control.

The administration has urged the public to remain calm and avoid panic, assuring that there is no shortage of essential commodities and that adequate measures are in place to ensure uninterrupted supply.
