SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has announced fresh dates for its Executive Committee Elections 2025–27, rescheduling the process for Monday, October 6, 2025. The decision follows deliberations on a communication from the Deputy Commissioner’s Srinagar office.
The polling, which will run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, will be held at the Kashmir Government Arts Emporium near the GPO in Srinagar. According to the KCCI Election Commission, the elections will take place under the overall supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, with observers drawn from various government departments and banks overseeing both polling and counting. Votes will be counted the same day after polling concludes.
The elections were initially slated for September 22, 2025, but were deferred following a directive from the DC Srinagar’s office through Letter No. DCS/ADC(PS)/Misc/2025-26/6084-92 dated September 20, 2025.
KCCI has urged all eligible members to carry their valid KCCI Membership Identity Card, valid up to March 31, 2026, to the polling station for verification. The chamber has said this is to ensure a smooth and transparent voting process.
