Kashmir: 19-Year-Old Resident Killed in Road Mishap

SRINAGAR: A 19-year-old teenager died after his scooty collided with a tree in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday, officials said.

An official said that a boy lost control of his scooty and rammed into a tree, sustaining severe head injuries in Sultanpora Kangan, Ganderbal.

He said the boy was immediately shifted to the hospital in an injured condition; however, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The deceased was later identified as Mohammad Sami (19), son of Akbar Ali, a resident of Kangan, Ganderbal.

Meanwhile, cognisance of the incident has been taken. (KNO)
