JRF Vacancy At IIT Jammu For Quantum Secure Communication Project

Indian Institute of Technology Jammu has released a notification inviting applications from eligible Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This opening is under a government-funded R&D project focused on developing a hybrid quantum secure communication network.

As per the official notification, this post is associated with a project titled “Towards Trusted-node Free Hybrid Quantum Secure Communication Network (TAHQEECAT),” funded under the National Quantum Mission. The position is initially for one year and may be extended based on performance. The age limit is 28 years with applicable relaxations, and selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 37,000 plus 18% HRA.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, and other essential details below.

Applicants must have an M.E./M.Tech./MS(R) or equivalent degree in CSE, ECE, EE, Microelectronics, VLSI Design or allied fields with at least 65% marks. Candidates awaiting results may also apply. Alternatively, candidates with a B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. in related subjects with 65% marks are also eligible. Relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for SC/ST/PH candidates.

Applicants must be qualified in one of the national eligibility tests such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or equivalent national exams conducted by central government departments like DST, DBT, DRDO, etc. The NET/GATE qualification may be waived for candidates with a CGPA above 8.000 from CFTIs.

Candidates with experience in Cryptography, Digital Signal Processing, FPGA system design, VLSI architecture, or related software tools (Verilog/VHDL, Cadence, Synopsys) will be given preference.
