
SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown across several areas of Jammu, Ramban, and Kathua districts to facilitate maintenance and system improvement works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, power supply to Ramban, Chanderkote, Karole, Battery Chashma, Bernote, Sangaldan, Gool and adjoining areas will remain affected on November 4 and 5 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
Similarly, electricity supply to Chibba, Thanda Pani, Baymal and adjoining areas will be disrupted on November 4 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, while Sarthal, Kuntwara, Trigam and adjoining areas will face outages on the same day from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL OM Circle Kathua, informed that power supply to Kalibari, Azadpur, Housing Colony, and Upper Shivanagar will remain affected on November 4 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
In addition, Changran, Chack Desa Singh, Manke Talab, Shiva Nagar, Durga Nagar, Government Women’s Degree College, Ward No. 2, District Jail, Super Bazaar and adjoining areas will experience power cuts on November 4 and 6 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
The JPDCL has urged consumers in the affected areas to bear with the temporary inconvenience, stating that the shutdowns are essential to ensure reliable power supply and infrastructure upgrades.
