
SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has issued a schedule of planned power interruptions affecting several localities in Jammu and Kathua districts on December 13 and 14, citing essential maintenance works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, electricity supply to Bharth, Dashnan, Ghat, Bhabore and adjoining areas will remain suspended on both days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In Jammu city, Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, parts of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Upper Chowadi, Matto Colony, Bathindi, Sunjawan, Boria and nearby areas will face outages on December 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Additionally, Sainik Colony, Birpur, the Industrial Area and adjoining pockets will be without power on December 14, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL OM Circle Kathua, has notified that Krishna Colony, Wards 2 and 17, Tangri, the DC Office and adjoining areas will experience outages on December 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Old Vijaypur, Vijaypur Industry and surrounding areas will remain affected on both 13 and 14 December 13 and from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., while Rahya and adjoining localities will face cuts on 14 December from 12 noon to 4 p.m.
JPDCL has advised consumers to plan accordingly and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
