
SRINAGAR: Power supply will remain disrupted in several areas of Jammu and Kathua districts over the next few days due to scheduled maintenance works, officials of the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) said on Tuesday.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, electricity supply to Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, parts of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Upper Chowadi, Matto Colony, Bathindi, Sunjwan, Boria and adjoining areas will remain affected on February 4 from 10 am to 2 pm.
In addition, power supply to Bathindi, Sunjwan, Boria and nearby areas will also be affected on the same day from 10 am to 10.30 am and again from 1.30 pm to 2 pm.
The Chief Engineer further said that electricity supply to Sarthal Kuntwara, Trigam and adjoining areas will remain affected on February 5 and February 7 from 9 am to 3 pm.
Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL, Operation and Maintenance Circle Kathua, informed that power supply to Jogpur, Industrial areas and adjoining localities will remain disrupted on February 5 from 8 am to 1 pm.
Similarly, electricity supply to Gurah and adjoining areas will remain affected on February 4 and February 6 from 8 am to 1 pm. Power supply to Rajenderpura and its adjoining areas, as well as Mawa and Rehian areas, will also remain disrupted on February 4 and 6 during the same time period.
Consumers have been advised to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled power shutdowns.
