JPDCL Announces Power Shutdowns in Jammu Parts

SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in various areas of Kathua and Batote for maintenance works.

According to the Superintending Engineer, O/M Circle Kathua, power supply will remain suspended in Sarore and adjoining areas on August 24 from 7 am to 11 am, while BB Town, Kaluchack, Old Complex, New Complex Kartholi and nearby localities will face disruption the same day from 7 am to 11.30 am.

On August 25, shutdowns have been scheduled in Jakh (7 am to 11 am), Meen (6 am to 11 am), and Phinter, Dadwara, Bhaddu and adjoining areas (6.30 am to 11.30 am).

Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer, O/M Circle-III Batote, informed that power supply to Chenani, Tandar, Baishty, Nagulta, A/B, Kulasar, Garrian, Matlowa-B and adjoining areas will remain affected on August 24 from 9 am to 2 pm.

In addition, the 11 KV overhead feeder Patnitop will remain shut on August 27 and 29 from 8 am to 2 pm.

Officials said the temporary shutdowns are necessary to carry out essential maintenance and strengthening works on the distribution network.
