Journalist Yahya Sultan Bereaved, Father Passes Away

Kupwara: The father of noted journalist Yahya Sultan, correspondent with News18 and Editor-in-Chief of Peace Time Kashmir, passed away on intervening Friday and Saturday night.

Family sources said that Mohammad Sultan breathed his last at around 2:00 AM following a brief illness.

The funeral prayers (Namaz-e-Janaza) have been scheduled at 2:00 PM today.

The deceased was also the father of Mufti Musa and Zahoor Sultan. His demise has cast a pall of gloom over the family, relatives, and well-wishers.

Meanwhile, condolences have poured in from various quarters, with people from different walks of life expressing deep sorrow over the loss. People have prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family, especially Yahya Sultan, to endure this irreparable loss.
