SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Trust (JKYT) Unit Kangan distributed 281 dietary kits containing essential food items to economically vulnerable families, in a welfare drive organised ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
The assistance targeted orphans, widows and other deserving households from across the area, with organisers stating the programme aimed to provide immediate relief to low-income families facing financial hardship.
The unit’s Nazim, accompanied by executive members and volunteers, supervised the distribution to ensure transparency and the dignified treatment of beneficiaries.
Addressing attendees, the Nazim reiterated the trust’s mission of serving vulnerable sections of society and described community support for such initiatives as a shared social responsibility. He also acknowledged the contribution of donors and volunteers in facilitating the programme.
JKYT Unit Kangan thanked contributors for their continued support and said similar welfare initiatives would be carried out in the future.
