Eligibility Criteria of JKSSB Sub-Inspector Vacancies

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a 4-year degree of Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in any one of the following streams:

• Computer Science Engineering
• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Telecommunication Engineering
• Information Technology
• Mechatronics
• Data Science
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Cyber Security

Age Limit

Age is calculated as on 01.01.2025.

Ex-Servicemen are allowed age relaxation as per rules mentioned in the notification.

Domicile Requirement

Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and must possess a valid domicile certificate on or before the cut-off date.

Application Fee

The fee must be paid online using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. Fee once paid will not be refunded.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Written Test
2. Physical Standard Test (Qualifying)
3. Physical Endurance Test (Qualifying)

Candidates possessing NCC certificates will be awarded bonus marks as per rules.

Physical Standards and Endurance Tests

Physical Standard Test

For Male Candidates

• Height: 5 feet 6 inches
• Chest: 32 inches unexpanded, 33½ inches expanded

For Female Candidates

Height relaxation of 2 inches is applicable for Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe candidates.

Physical Endurance Test

For Male Candidates

• 1600 meters race in 6½ minutes
• 20 push-ups

For Female Candidates

• 1000 meters race in 6½ minutes
• Shot put (4 kg): 14½ feet in three attempts

Relaxation in endurance standards is applicable for Ex-Servicemen as per age slabs mentioned in the notification.

How to Apply for JKSSB SI Telecommunication Recruitment 2026

Candidates must apply online only through the JKSSB portal. No other mode of application is accepted.
