The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has issued the official notification inviting online applications for Sub Inspector Telecommunication posts in the Home Department. A total of 83 vacancies have been announced for the UT Cadre.

As per the notification, the required qualification for these posts includes a four year degree in specific engineering streams, and the age limit varies from 18 to 30 years depending on the category. The selection process includes a written examination followed by physical standard and physical endurance tests.

Interested candidates who meet the eligibility conditions can submit their application forms through the JKSSB online portal from 15 December 2025 to 13 January 2026. Vacancy Details:
JKSSB has invited applications from eligible candidates to fill the following vacant position. The post name is Sub Inspector Telecommunication and the total number of posts is 83.

Eligibility Criteria:

The required educational qualification is a four year degree in engineering or technology in any of the following fields which include computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, telecommunication engineering, information technology, mechatronics, data science, electrical and electronics engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning or cyber security.

The age limit varies as per category. For OM, SC, ST1, ST2, RBA, OBC, ALC IB and EWS the age range is 18 to 28 years. For in service police personnel the upper age limit is 30 years. Ex servicemen can claim relaxation as per rules. The applicant must be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir and should have all required documents valid on or before the last date.

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can fill the online form through the official JKSSB portal within the given dates. Candidates should ensure that they submit accurate details and upload valid documents before final submission.

Application Fee:
The application fee is 700 for general category. For SC, ST1, ST2 and EWS categories the fee is 600. The payment is accepted through online modes.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of written examination, physical standard test and physical endurance test. The written test will include objective type questions with negative marking. Candidates with NCC certificates will receive bonus marks as per rules. Those shortlisted will undergo PST followed by PET. Both PST and PET will be qualifying in nature. A medical examination will be conducted for selected candidates.
