JKSSB Constable Telecommunication And Photographer Recruitment 2026 For 182 Posts

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has issued an official recruitment notification for Constable posts in the Home Department, J&K Police. The recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement Notification No. 15 of 2025. The last date for submission of online application form is extended to 12 March 2026.

A total of 182 UT Cadre vacancies are available for the posts of Constable Telecommunication and Constable Photographer. Eligible candidates who hold a valid domicile of Jammu and Kashmir can apply online within the prescribed dates. Eligibility Criteria of JKSSB Constable Vacancies

Age relaxation is applicable for in-service police personnel, SPOs, VHGs, and ex-servicemen as per rules.

Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and possess a valid domicile certificate.

Application Fee

The application fee is payable online only and is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection process includes the following stages:

1. Written Examination
2. Physical Standard Test
3. Physical Endurance Test
4. Medical Examination

Bonus marks are awarded to NCC certificate holders as per rules.

Physical Standards

For male candidates, the minimum height is 5 feet 6 inches and chest measurement is 32 inches unexpanded and 33.5 inches expanded.

For female candidates, the minimum height is 5 feet 2 inches.

Height relaxation of 2 inches is applicable for candidates belonging to Gorkha community and Bot tribe.

Physical Endurance Test

Male candidates must complete a 1600 meter race in 6 and a half minutes and perform 20 push-ups.

Female candidates must complete a 1000 meter race in 6 and a half minutes and perform shot put of 4 kg up to 14.5 feet.

Relaxed standards apply for ex-servicemen as per age slabs.
