SRINAGAR: Authorities in Jammu have imposed restrictions around designated examination centres ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) recruitment tests for Assistant Professors scheduled for October 7 and 8, 2025.

District Magistrate Dr Rakesh Minhas (IAS) ordered the curbs under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), prohibiting the assembly of five or more persons within a 100-metre radius of the notified centres. The order will remain in force between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm on both examination days.

According to the directive, entry into restricted zones will be strictly barred for unauthorised persons during the examination hours. Any violation of the order will invite action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The measures have been taken to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the competitive examinations across the Jammu district.
