
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) on Friday declared the result of the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024, announcing that 340 candidates who appeared in the personality test have been declared successful, while 90 candidates have been recommended for medical examination as part of the final selection process.
The result was notified through Notification No. 16-PSC (DR-S) of 2026 dated March 13, 2026, issued by the Commission following the completion of the interview stage conducted at the JKPSC office in Jammu.
According to the notification, the General Administration Department (GAD) had earlier referred 90 posts to the Commission for recruitment through the Combined Competitive Examination vide communication dated July 23, 2024, which were subsequently advertised through Notification No. 04-PSC (DR-P) of 2024 dated July 26, 2024.
A total of 31,644 candidates were provisionally allowed to appear in the preliminary examination, which was conducted on February 23, 2025, out of which 19,659 candidates actually appeared.
Based on the criteria fixed by the Commission, 2,768 candidates qualified the preliminary examination and were declared eligible for the mains examination, including 23 applicants who were permitted to appear following directions from the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).
The Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination 2024 was held between July 23 and August 1, 2025 at examination centres in Jammu and Srinagar, with 2,492 candidates appearing in all papers,
Subsequently, as per the criteria laid down under SRO-103 of 2018, as amended from time to time, 345 candidates were declared qualified for the Interview/Viva-Voce/Personality Test through a notification issued on January 21, 2026. However, the candidature of three candidates was rejected, and three candidates from the respective categories were called in their place.
In addition, six applicants who had approached the Central Administrative Tribunal were also allowed to appear in the interview process in compliance with the tribunal’s orders.
The personality test was conducted from March 5 to March 13, 2026, at the JKPSC office in Jammu. Out of the 345 candidates called for interview, four candidates did not appear.
Following the completion of the interviews, the Commission in its meeting held on March 13, 2026, decided to declare the results of 340 candidates who appeared in the personality test and notify their aggregate marks.
The Commission has also recommended 90 candidates, in order of merit and in accordance with the JK Reservation Rules (SRO-294), to undergo medical examination before the medical boards at Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar or GMC Jammu, depending on the option exercised by the candidates. The dates for the medical examination will be notified separately.
