
Jammu, Feb 16: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has deeply condoled the death of senior journalist and prominent artist Rajinder Tickoo.
In a condolence message, JKPCC president Tariq Hameed Karra and other senior leaders have expressed shock and grief over the tragic fire incident in the quarter of Rajinder Tickoo at Jagti migrant camp Nagrota in which he died reportedly due to suffocation on February 15.
“Tickoo was a journalist besides a well-known Kashmiri artist, whose untimely death has created a void in the journalistic and artistic field,” JKPCC leaders stated.
The party leadership conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family and friends and prayed for peace to the bereaved family.
JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma attended the cremation of Tickoo and personally shared the grief.
PCC working president Raman Bhalla, former ministers Mula Ram, Yogesh Sawhney, ex-MLC Ved Mahajan also condoled the death of Tickoo and conveyed deep sympathy with the bereaved family.
57-year-old Tickoo, besides being a versatile artist, was working with News18 and ETV Urdu as assistant producer.
