Srinagar, Aug 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineers Association (JKEEGA) has demanded a swift, time-bound inquiry into the recent Junior Engineer (Electrical) recruitment exam, following allegations of mismanagement and a paper leak that has left aspirants disappointed and raised concerns over the power sector recruitment process.
Peerzada Hidyatullah, President of JKEEGA, expressed deep frustration over the incident. “We were hopeful that the vacancies for electrical engineer posts would finally be filled. But this… so near yet so far! It cannot be more unfortunate than this. A lot of hard work has gone to waste,” he said.
Highlighting the urgency, Hidyatullah called for strict action against those responsible, adding, “A time-bound enquiry must be conducted immediately. The next exam date should be notified without delay to prevent a crisis in the power sector. Genuine aspirants, who have been waiting for years, do not deserve this setback.”
The association underlined that transparency and timely corrective action are critical, both to protect the interests of the candidates and to ensure the proper functioning of the Jammu and Kashmir power sector, which depends on the timely induction of qualified engineers.
