Srinagar, Feb 25: The Jammu & Kashmir Civil Engineering Graduates Association expresses its gratitude to Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister holding the charge of the Public Works Department, and to Anil Kumar Singh, Financial Commissioner/Additional Chief Secretary, for the recent Government Order placing 13 In-charge Executive Engineers as In-charge Superintending Engineers and 25 In-charge Assistant Executive Engineers as Incharge Executive Engineers.

This development has brought renewed energy and confidence within the engineering fraternity. At a time when infrastructure development in J&K demands strong technical stewardship and seamless coordination, the placement of experienced officers into higher responsibilities ensures continuity, stability, and improved administrative efficiency, it said.

“These officers have been discharging their duties with dedication and competence; formal recognition of their roles not only validates their service but also strengthens the structural hierarchy essential for the effective functioning of various departments across J&K. While celebrating this progressive step, the Association respectfully hopes that other service matters, including the clearance of pending regularisation cases, InCharge AEE & AE placements and the implementation of Assured Career Progression for engineers, will also receive due consideration in due course. Addressing these aspects will further strengthen administrative stability and ensure long-term motivation within the cadre,” said the press release.
