J&K Legislative Assembly to Convene 9-Day Session from October 23 – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat has released the provisional calendar for the upcoming fourth session of the Assembly, scheduled to begin on October 23, 2025.

According to the calendar issued by Assembly Speaker Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather, the session will open on Thursday, October 23, with obituary references. The following two days, October 24 and 25, will be non-working days due to Rajya Sabha elections and routine scheduling, while October 26 (Sunday) will be observed as a holiday.

The Government Business will be taken up on Monday, October 27, followed by Private Members’ Bills on Tuesday, October 28. The Assembly will discuss Private Members’ Resolutions on Wednesday, October 29, the schedule reads.

The session will conclude with two final sittings on October 30 and 31, both dedicated to Government Business.
