
SRINAGAR: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review the ongoing BISAG-N powered Information Technology initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir, calling for the creation of data-rich dashboards and AI-based citizen services to enhance ease of living and governance efficiency.
The review focused on key digital platforms under implementation across departments, including dashboards for agriculture, education, healthcare, tourism, and industry. Dulloo stressed the need to improve design and functionality of these platforms to make them more outcome-driven, informative, and integrated with other digital services.
He directed that the Kisan Khidmat Ghar Dashboard be upgraded to reflect real-time data on Krishi Udhyamis and detail support mechanisms available to them, enhancing their productivity and service access. On the YUVA App, the Chief Secretary sought improvements in usage tracking, application processing, and integration with the MSME Health Clinic and ONDC platforms. He also called for linking the app with UDISE and APAAR databases to monitor student skill development and career progression.
In the healthcare sector, Dulloo emphasised the need for JK Sehat App integration with ABDM and HMIS frameworks to expand its usability. He also suggested enabling home-care service providers to access diagnostic tools through the platform for improved outreach and treatment support.
The Chief Secretary proposed a unified search engine to index all government websites of J&K and the Centre for easy access to public resources and services. He further advised exploring the development of an AI-based Legal Counselling App to provide automated legal guidance to citizens.
The meeting also reviewed AI initiatives in education, including the introduction of learning modules like AI-101 and AI-201, development of AI-based learning tools, and launching educational TV channels to strengthen student exposure to emerging technologies.
Progress updates were taken on key digital projects, including the Centre of Excellence in Emerging Technologies, 360° Tourism App, Land Records Digitisation, HADP 360, JKCIP, Agri Output Tracking Apps, Village Planning App, and IT interventions under PDD and Jal Shakti departments.
Special DG, BISAG-N, Vinay Thakur shared updates on collaborative projects and assured continued support in building scalable, citizen-centric digital platforms. He provided technical feedback and reaffirmed timely execution in coordination with the concerned departments.
Earlier, Secretary IT, Dr. Piyush Singla gave a detailed presentation on the Digital J&K framework, outlining key achievements, ongoing work, and the expected transformation in service delivery through technology-led governance.
