J&K Govt Sets 7.1 Percent GPF Interest For Q4 FY 2025–26

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has fixed the interest rate on the General Provident Fund at 7.1 percent for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025–26.

An order issued by the Finance Department, Codes Division, stated that the accumulations at the credit of General Provident Fund subscribers will carry an interest rate of 7.1 percent for the period from January 1, 2026 to March 31, 2026.

According to Government Order No. 97-F of 2026, the decision has been taken in accordance with Notification F. No. 5(3)-B (PD)/2023 dated January 9, 2026 issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India.

The order further stated that the accumulations at the credit of subscribers to the General Provident Fund will continue to earn interest at the rate of 7.1 percent during the fourth quarter of the current financial year.
