J&K boxer Mohd Yasir to represent India at Asian Championship

Srinagar, Apr 9: Young boxer Mohd Yasir from Government Boys Model Higher Secondary School, Rajouri, has been selected to represent India in the upcoming Asian Boxing Championship in Uzbekistan, marking a significant achievement for the region’s emerging sporting talent, DYSS officials said on Thursday.

Mohd Yasir, a dedicated and hardworking student of Government Boys Model Higher Secondary School, Rajouri, as per DYSS statement, has created history through his exceptional performance, discipline, and unwavering determination in the sport of boxing. His selection in the U-15 (57 kg category) stands as a true testament to his consistent training, passion, and commitment to excellence.

The championship is set to commence from 1st May, where Yasir will compete against some of the finest young boxing talents from across Asia.
