J&K Bank Installs ATM Outside SDH Sogam – Alfaaz – The Words

Kupwara: In a move aimed at enhancing banking convenience, J&K Bank has installed a new Automated Teller Machine (ATM) outside the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sogam in Kupwara district.

The installation is being widely hailed by patients, their attendants, and hospital staff, who said the facility will ease access to cash for medical and daily needs without the need to travel to the town centre.

Local residents also appreciated the initiative, describing it as a much-needed public convenience in a place that witnesses a steady influx of people seeking medical services from adjoining areas.

A hospital official said the ATM will particularly benefit patients’, their attendants during emergencies when quick cash withdrawal becomes essential.

The move is part of J&K Bank’s ongoing efforts to expand its digital and physical banking infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring financial access at key public service locations.

Residents expressed gratitude to the bank’s management for extending the service to SDH Sogam, terming it “a thoughtful and people-friendly initiative.”
