
SRINAGAR: A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) was among three soldiers injured, one of them critically, in an encounter with terrorists in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district on Sunday, official sources said.
As per sources, the exchange of fire broke out during an ongoing operation against terrorists in the area.
Three soldiers, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were injured during the gunfire, one of them critically. The injured soldiers were immediately evacuated and later airlifted to a higher medical facility for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile, the operation is still underway as security forces continue to cordon off the area to neutralise the terrorists, sources added. (KNC)
