
Jammu, Mar 5: Jammu Railway Division has announced to add an extra third AC (3AC) coach to Jammu Rajdhani Express to facilitate passengers amid swelling rush during festivals and trim the waiting list.
This coach will be temporarily added on March 7 and March 14 for the specified period.
“Keeping passenger convenience paramount and to manage the rush in the coming days, the Jammu Division has decided to add an additional third (3-tier) AC (3AC) coach to train number 12426 Jammu-Rajdhani Express. This step has been taken under the direction of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Uchit Singhal, to ensure a better and comfortable journey for passengers who are currently unable to travel due to waiting lists,” informed Raghvender Singh, Public Relations Inspector, Jammu Railway Division.
The additional coach will provide approximately 72 additional seats or berths per trip, allowing more passengers to book confirmed tickets, he stated.
With regard to details of the additional coach, Singh said, “Air-Conditioned Third Class (3AC) coach in Jammu-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (train number 12426) will be temporarily added on March 7 and March 14 for a fixed period. The primary purpose is to manage the increased passenger traffic during festivals and peak season and reduce waiting lists.”
Commenting on the facility being provided to passengers by Jammu Division, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Uchit Singhal said, “Jammu Division is committed to providing a better travel experience to passengers. The additional coaches to the Rajdhani Express will not only increase capacity but also provide passengers with modern safety and comfort features.”
“We are ensuring that passengers have a smooth and hassle-free journey even during peak season.
