SRINAGAR: In the latest UPSC cadre allocation, several candidates from Jammu and Kashmir secured prestigious positions in the All India Services and central Group A services.
Iram Choudhary has been selected for the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), marking a significant achievement for the Union Territory. Meanwhile, Mohammad Haris Mir was allotted the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), and both Ghulam Haider and JKAS officer Vishal were selected for the Indian Police Service (IPS).
In addition to these appointments, ten other candidates from Jammu and Kashmir have been assigned to various Group A central services.
The allocations were made based on the candidates’ UPSC ranks, their preferences, and the requirements of the services. This latest batch of appointments highlights the increasing representation of Jammu and Kashmir in key government roles across India.
