
SRINAGAR: Startups supported by the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) drew significant attention at the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2025, where more than 10,000 startups from 60 countries took part between November 18 and 20.
JKEDI-sponsored entrepreneurs reported strong engagement on the opening day, interacting with global industry leaders, investors, and sector experts. The Jammu and Kashmir pavilion witnessed heavy footfall, with visitors expressing interest in the innovative solutions presented by seven participating startups.
The summit hosted major international exhibitors from Italy, Russia, Israel, Germany, Australia, and South Korea, offering the Jammu and Kashmir delegation an opportunity to explore global networks and technology-driven collaborations.
RED C Biotech CEO and Founder, Ari Gargir, visited the Jammu and Kashmir pavilion and held discussions with the startup teams. Sheenmart E-Com engaged in talks with AutoL Korea, a leader in compact long-range LiDAR systems, on possible collaboration in smart mobility. Curv Electric founder Sheikh Yameen interacted with Charge CEO Micheal Nenner on improving efficiency in electric vehicles. SCANIMO Technologies also received interest from Jio Mart Retail Stores for integrating their solutions into retail operations.
Officials from the Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Business Modelling (CIIBM), including Associate Project Manager Faheem-ul-Din Malik and Assistant Manager (F&A) Sorab Mengi, facilitated these engagements under the guidance of Secretary Industries and Commerce and Director JKEDI, Khalid Jahangir.
The delegation also explored knowledge-sharing opportunities with institutions such as Startup Tamil Nadu. Participating entrepreneurs credited JKEDI for enabling access to national and global platforms and said they are working to convert leads into partnerships and investments.
JKEDI stated that the strong presence of Jammu and Kashmir startups at BTS 2025 demonstrates the region’s emerging innovation potential and its growing footprint in the national startup ecosystem.
