SRINAGAR: Two persons were seriously injured after an Eeco vehicle lost control and fell onto the rooftop of a house at Kallar near the police post in the Mendhar area of Poonch district on Tuesday.

An official said that the vehicle, whose registration number could not be ascertained, skidded off the road and landed on the roof of a nearby house, leaving two persons injured.

The injured were identified as Saber Hussain, son of Mohammad Yaser, aged 25 years, and Mohammad Asif, son of Mohammad Rashid Aga, aged 20 years. Both are residents of Jaranwali Gali.

They were immediately shifted to the Sub District Hospital Surankote, where they were provided first aid. Due to the severity of their injuries, doctors referred both patients to GMC Rajouri for advanced treatment.

Police reached the spot soon after the incident and initiated necessary proceedings. Further details are awaited. (GNS)
