
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday informed the Legislative Assembly that the Cabinet Sub-Committee constituted to examine and rationalise the reservation policy has submitted its report, which is currently under consideration of the competent authority.
Replying to a question raised by MLA Budgam Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, the government said the panel has completed its assessment and forwarded its findings for official examination.
The government clarified that the report is yet to be approved and will be implemented only after receiving formal clearance.
It further stated that the existing reservation policy and statutory provisions continue to remain in force, with no interim changes introduced so far.
