Jammu Kashmir: Police Seize Drone Near LoC

SRINAGAR: A drone was seized by police from a forward village near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Akhnoor sector on Saturday, officials confirmed, as reported by Daily Excelsior.

The device was recovered from an agricultural field in Fattu Kotli village, located in the Garkhal area, following a tip-off. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the origin and purpose of the drone.

Officials stated that they are examining whether the drone may have crossed over from across the border or if it was being used locally, possibly to film a marriage function.

The incident has raised security concerns in the sensitive border region. Local residents were reportedly unaware of the drone’s presence until alerted by the police operation.

No arrests have been made so far, and the device has been sent for forensic examination. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
