
SRINAGAR: The Jammu Kashmir’s Power Development Department (PDD) has issued orders for the transfer, posting, and additional charges of several engineers across the Union Territory.
The directives, issued under Government Order No. 24-JK(PDD) of 2026 dated January 16, are effective immediately and aim to ensure smooth functioning, operational efficiency, and effective service delivery within the department.
According to the order issued from the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar and Jammu, the following officers have been assigned additional charges alongside their current responsibilities:
Abdul Majid Salroo, I/c SE OM Circle-I, KPDCL, Srinagar, will also look after the charge of SE, OM Circle, Ganderbal, KPDCL. Sanjay Gupta, I/c SE BHEP-I, Chanderkot, JKPDC, has been given additional charge of SE, OM Circle-II, JKPTCL, Jammu. Thakur Dass, I/c SE Generation, Jammu, JKPDC, will manage the additional charge of SE, Corporate Office, JKPDC. Malik Habib, I/c Executive Engineer, Inspection Division, Srinagar, will oversee the additional charge of Executive Engineer, ITC Division, Srinagar, KPDCL.
The order further lists engineers awaiting adjustment against available vacancies:
Rita Gupta, I/c AEE, is to be posted in ITC Division, Jammu, JPDCL. Ramanjeet Singh Rathore, I/c AEE, will move to Central Workshop Division, Jammu, JPDCL. Ashok Kumar Dubey, I/c AEE, will serve as T.O to Executive Engineer, ED-II, JPDCL, Jammu. Jahangir Ahmad, I/c AEE, will be posted to SD-Surankote, ED Poonch, JPDCL. Sahil Kesar, I/c AE, will be posted to SD-Banihal, ED-Batote, JPDCL. Munish Manchanda, I/c AE, will be posted to SD-Vijaypur, ED-Vijaypur, JPDCL.
An official note accompanying the order states that the engineers listed from serial numbers 5 to 10 shall be deemed relieved from their previous postings.
The Power Development Department said the transfers and postings are aimed at strengthening administrative and operational efficiency, ensuring effective service delivery, and enhancing coordination across divisions in Jammu and Kashmir.
