SRINAGAR: The Jammu Kashmir Pavilion at the 44th India International Trade Fair 2025 concluded on a highly successful note, registering on-the-spot sales of approximately Rs 13.50 crore and generating more than 6000 business leads for participating exhibitors. The impressive turnover has reinforced the strong market response to the Union Territory’s diverse product range and the growing confidence of buyers and trade visitors in the quality, authenticity and competitiveness of goods from the region, a DIPR statement said.

These results underline the continued appeal of Jammu and Kashmir’s world-renowned handicrafts, handlooms, agricultural and horticultural produce, as well as the expanding footprint of its entrepreneurs in national and international markets. Senior officials said the Pavilion’s success reflected both the strength of traditional industries and the emergence of new enterprises that are gaining traction among buyers.

Resonating with the momentum of previous editions, this year’s Pavilion benefited from enhanced branding and extensive publicity for Jammu and Kashmir’s unique, ODOP and GI-certified products. Promotional displays were placed across the venue and at prominent external locations, significantly amplifying visibility and drawing a larger and more diverse crowd throughout the fair. The heightened attention transformed the Pavilion into a vibrant hub of culture, creativity and commerce, consistently attracting domestic and international visitors.

The steady engagement allowed artisans, women entrepreneurs, startups, farmer-producer organisations, self-help groups and cooperative societies to hold meaningful business interactions. Officials noted that the substantial sales turnover and sizeable pipeline of leads are expected to translate into repeat orders, long-term buyer–seller relationships and expanded market access, contributing to income generation, employment creation and inclusive economic growth in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization reaffirmed its commitment to supporting exhibitors with follow-up on leads, participation in future trade fairs and integration with wider export promotion and market linkage initiatives. Senior officials lauded the coordinated efforts of participating departments, corporations and partner agencies in curating a business-oriented showcase that blended culture with commerce.

The strong sales and leads have also validated the strategy of onboarding a diverse mix of exhibitors, who together presented a comprehensive basket of products to buyers from across India and abroad. The encouraging response from retail visitors, bulk buyers, e-commerce platforms and institutional purchasers is expected to result in repeat orders, new market tie-ups and wider brand recall for Jammu and Kashmir’s authentic handicrafts, handlooms and agro-food products in the months ahead.

Looking forward to the 2026 edition, JKTPO plans to scale up participation by bringing in a larger and more diversified pool of exhibitors, deepening sectoral representation and introducing new product lines aligned with emerging market trends. Efforts will focus on enhanced buyer outreach, more structured B2B meetings, digital and e-commerce integration and stronger branding, with the aim of surpassing this year’s performance and creating wider, durable market opportunities for stakeholders from the Union Territory.
