Jammu Kashmir: High Court Sets Winter Timings for District Courts from December 1

SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh on Tuesday announced the winter timing schedule for all District Courts across the Kashmir Division and the Union Territory of Ladakh. The new schedule will take effect from December 1, 2025 and remain in force until March 31, 2026.

As per Notification No. 3407 of 2025/RG/NG-03(1), issued by Registrar General MK Sharma, office hours during this period will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a lunch break from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Court sitting hours will run from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., divided into two sessions — the first until 1:00 p.m. and the second from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The revised timings will remain effective throughout the winter months for all courts operating in the Kashmir Division and the UT of Ladakh. From April 1 2026, the courts will revert to the regular schedule as prescribed under High Court Order No. 1638/NG dated May 22, 2020.
