Jammu Kashmir Govt Assigns Additional Charge to IAS Officer | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a fresh administrative order assigning additional responsibilities to IAS officer Mahima Madan.

According to Government Order No. 761-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department, Mahima Madan—currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Information Technology Department—will now also hold the charge of Director, Defence Labour Procurement, JK.

Madan, a 2021-batch AGMUT cadre officer, is already handling multiple key responsibilities, including the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, JaKeGA. The latest order further expands her administrative portfolio, with the new assignment to be held “till further orders.”

The directive was issued in the interest of administration and approved by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
