It added that nationwide campaigns such as the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan have facilitated extensive screenings, including in Jammu and Kashmir, focusing on diabetes, hypertension and common cancers among women.

Highlighting measures to improve early diagnosis and treatment, the Ministry said tele-consultation services under the e-Sanjeevani hub-and-spoke model are being expanded to provide specialist support to frontline health facilities.

The Government also noted that 297 District Comprehensive Cancer Care Centres (DCCCs) have been sanctioned across the country as part of efforts to strengthen cancer care infrastructure.
