Jammu closes coaching centres as rains intensify

Jammu, Sep 2: Authorities on Tuesday ordered the closure of all coaching centres in Jammu district until further notice amid heavy rains and safety concerns for students and staff.

The directive, issued by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Jammu on Tuesday, cites the safety and well-being of students, staff, and the general public as the primary concern.

Officials said the precautionary measure aims to prevent any untoward incidents in light of heavy rains and related threats.

Coaching centre operators have been instructed to strictly adhere to the order. Authorities have also warned that any violation will invite stern action under the relevant provisions of law.
